Title - Solar Electric Technician
Born in Mt. Peak, Texas. Grew up and graduated from high school in Yuma, Arizona. Served in the US Navy during the Korean War.

Training - US Fleet Sonar School in San Diego, California, Arizona Bible Institute Of Phoenix, BA (affiliated BIOLA), Trinity Theological Seminary MDIV, Evansville, Indiana.

My wife LaVerne and I were married in 1954. While in Biblical training in Arizona we heard of JAARS' need of radio technicians. We joined the Wycliffe Bible Translators mission in 1956 after attending SIL in Norman, Oklahoma. We served in Peru, Ecuador and Colombia, I as a radio technician and in branch administration, from 1957-1975. Returned to the US in 1975 and pastored churches in Utah, Texas and Washington. In 1995 I "retired" from the pastorate and moved near the JAARS center.

My responsibility in the Wireless Communication department is to consult with, help in the planning of and to design Solar and Wind systems to generate electricity for remote areas of the world. Primarily for translation teams in village locations. LaVerne is a seamstress with the Bontique here at JAARS. My "free" time I like to garden, spend time with my wife, kids and grandkids, study the Bible to meet my commitment as Pastor-Teacher of the Cornerstone Bible Church in Lancaster, SC.

The motivation for my earthly journey is ACTS 20:24 - "However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me - the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace."
